Dr. Emily Ward is a wife, mom, entrepreneur, and board-certified gastroenterologist who founded GutsyRx to champion gut and rectal health through a wellness approach. Shaped by her family’s fight with early-onset metastatic cancer and her own journey through infertility, prediabetes, and postpartum illness, she brings deep empathy, lived experience, and a true partnership mindset to every patient she cares for.
Growing up on a small farm and apple orchard in rural Ohio, Dr. Emily’s roots are as down-to-earth as she is.
The pinnacle of her professional career is starting GutsyRx, where she continues revolutionizing care for women with gut and rectal issues.
Dr. Emily Ward enjoys quality time outside the clinic with her ER doctor spouse, two lively kids, and friends. She loves hiking, dabbling in reading and blog writing, and makes valiant attempts at growing vegetables and playing the piano.
